Welcome to Johnny Boyd Photography
Thanks for stopping by today. Below are images I have taken from across the United States and Texas including: Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Rocky Mountain National Park, Crested Butte, Aspen, Garden of The Gods, the San Juan Mountains around Ridgway, Ouray, Silverton, Telluride, The Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta, Central Texas Wildflowers, Coastal Texas Sunrises and Sunsets, The Smoky Mountains, New England, Babcock State Park in West Virginia, the Amish Countryside of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, the beautiful waterfalls, forests and fantastic coastline of Oregon, and Majestic Redwoods in Northern California.
Did you know there is a clinical study published in the National Library of Medicine in December 2015 entitled "Autonomic Nervous System Responses to Viewing Green and Built Settings: Differentiating Between Sympathetic and Parasympathetic Activity."
What this study found is that five minutes of viewing urban green space can support recovery from stress as shown in enhanced parasympathetic activity. These findings strengthen and deepen the growing evidence-base for health benefits of green space in the living environment.
This clinical study was done regarding looking at "urban green spaces" within a city. Can you imagine how much better on feels when looking at wild natural green spaces and mountain ranges.
